Community & Events Associate

The Community & Events Associate coordinates and facilities all community and events operations, works closely with strategic partners to see events from event prep to execution successfully, and supports the BV Executive team on administrative tasks.  This position will be a primary point of contact for members and will be one of the primary “faces” of BV Labs reporting to the VP, Corporate Development.

  • Create a welcoming and collaborative community environment amongst our members through events and building relationships between members
  • Ensure proper preparation, coordination and execution for successful events
  • Manage administrative tasks for CEO and VP, Corporate Development
  • Drive promotion of BV-provided service offerings
  • Support the community efforts as necessary


Duties and Responsibilities

Greeting / Point of Contact
  • Be the first and last point of contact for your building
  • Cover the front desk during business hours
  • Oversee BV facility inquiries, calendar for scheduled tours, and send confirmation and follow up emails
  • Greet, check-in and check-out Bonneville Labs guests
  • Share the benefits of working in a Co-Working office and lab space
  • Prepare and distribute promotional materials to guests/potential members
  • Customer engagement addressing and managing various inquiries and prospect inquiries
Membership Management
  • Manage membership list and waitlist; maintain membership information to be provided on website
  • Work on community initiatives designed to develop connections between members, including member introductions, event support, email and print communications
  • Manage and update CRM for all relevant stakeholders, Members, and service representatives
  • Maintain contact listing for future outreach
  • Collaborate with VP, Corporate Development to provide content, needed updates, and important information to BV community members via emails and BV newsletters
  • Social Media updates
Events and Community Management
  • Be a BV Brand Ambassador advocating on the benefits of working in a shared office and lab community
  • Support VP, Corporate Development and BV Strategic Partners with preparation, execution, and cleanup of all BV events, public relations efforts, and all brand awareness activities
  • Manage and maintain event calendar for weekly BV networking events
  • Update BV CRM weekly with contacts and notes
  • Office Operations
  • Assist with new member company onboarding activities and exit process; prepare and distribute member welcome packets, ensure completion of company profile
  • Maintain the front reception area; collaborate with Lab Ops to ensure the building is clean and well kept
  • Provide Administrative Assistance to CEO and VP, Corporate Development as needed


Experience and Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3- 5+ years’ experience in customer relations, hospitality, marketing, retail, startups, consulting or related experience with strong focus in customer management
  • Preference for experience working in co-working environments
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
  • Demonstrate integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and empathy
